Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Hopeful Shelter Foundation, we deeply appreciate every contribution made toward our grassroots initiatives, including our rural education program (Aangan Akshar Pathshala), our community kitchen drives (₹5 meals), and our extreme weather relief operations across Prayagraj. Because these contributions are immediately deployed to purchase ground supplies like food ingredients, clay pots, and schooling kits, we maintain a transparent and structured policy regarding refunds and cancellations.

1. Donation Refund Policy

All donations made willingly to Hopeful Shelter Foundation through our official website payment gateways, direct bank transfers, or our verified UPI ID are generally considered non-refundable.

However, we recognize that mistakes can happen. If a donation was made erroneously due to a technical glitch, double-deduction, or an accidental input error (such as an extra zero), the donor must notify us within 7 days of the transaction date to request a review.

2. How to Request a Refund

To report an accidental transaction, please contact our finance team via email at shelterhopeful@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 8826259179 with the following details:

  • • Full Name of the Donor
  • • Date and exact time of the transaction
  • • Exact Donation Amount (INR)
  • • Transaction Reference ID or a clear digital screenshot of the payment confirmation
  • • A brief explanation of the error requiring a refund

3. Processing and Timelines

Upon receiving your refund request, our administration will cross-verify the transaction details against our bank statement accounts:

  • If the claim is verified as an error and the funds have not yet been spent on immediate camp supplies, the refund will be approved.
  • Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment source (the exact same bank account or UPI ID used) within 7 to 10 working days.
  • Please note that any third-party payment gateway transaction fees or processing charges incurred during the refund phase may be deducted from the final refunded amount.

4. Cancellation Policy

For any recurring or monthly support pledges, donors reserve the right to cancel their upcoming contributions at any time. Cancellation requests must be sent at least 5 days prior to the scheduled deduction date. Once a localized project or emergency drive receives deployment clearance, active program funds cannot be canceled or recalled mid-campaign.
